WHAT VENUES DO YOU WORK WITH?
We work with venues right across London and the UK. For a full list, please see our venues page.

I\'M IN A BAND, HOW DO I GET A GIG?
The best way is to sign up to the Curious Generation artist sign up section.

WHAT IS YOUR MUSIC POLICY?
We are interested in all types of music at Curious Generation, and we listen to all music that we are sent. We will send feedback to all who request it, but please understand that it may take some time due to the volume of submissions.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR?
We are looking for new, original and exciting material from all types of bands/artists.

FANBASE?
We do not judge a band by its fan base. We are searching for quality of music from exciting new bands/artists. However, as a rule, we try and make sure that bands/artists that we book do not have a date up to 3 weeks before the gig or 2 weeks after in the city they are booked to play in. This is to make sure that you get a good turnout at the gig to support you. No-one likes playing to an empty room!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO YOU BOOK?
We normally book 2-3 months in advance for all of our gigs.

MERCHANDISE
There is no problem if you want to sell merchandise, but you must staff the selling area yourself.

WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT FOR YOUR VENUES?
The majority of the venues and gigs/events are 18+.

WHAT TIME DO THE VENUES OPEN?
Mostly 7.30pm, but please check each event - especially special performances.

WHAT TIME WILL THE BAND I WANT TO SEE BE ON?
Usually this is 8pm, but please check each events information.

WHY IS THE DOOR PERSON ASKING ME WHO I'M HERE TO SEE?
This is sometimes how some of the bands receive income. It is really important for us to record this information to gauge how many people come to see each artist.

SO, DO I ONLY GET TO SEE THAT BAND?
No, not at all. Once you have paid entry then you have access to the whole night and all acts playing unless specifically told otherwise.

HOW DO I GET TICKETS IN ADVANCE?
Click on 'buy tickets' next to the event you want to come and see. If the event is not on the home page then click on 'full listings'.

CAN I GET A REFUND?
Refunds are only available if the show is cancelled or postponed.

CAN I GET TICKETS FROM CURIOUS GENERATION/THE VENUES THEMSELVES IN ADVANCE?
All advance tickets are sold via this website and through the ticket links shown next to each event listed in full listings.
If you are industry personnel then please get in touch with us directly.

CAN I GET TICKETS ON THE DOOR?
Sometimes this is possible. However, we strongly advise that you buy tickets in advance. Not only is it ordinarily cheaper to buy in advance, you also guarantee yourself entry for the event.

IT'S SOLD OUT ONLINE, CAN I GET A TICKET?
We keep a very small allocation back on the door, but by and large, if it is sold out online then it is likely to be completely sold out. Please get in touch directly if this is the case.

DO YOU DO CONCESSIONS?
Yes. Students get in cheaper. In addition, if you are a member of this website you will be able to get cheaper tickets with special Curious Generation member discounts and be able to buy tickets in advance.

DO YOU HIRE OUT THE VENUES?
Yes, this is possible for some venues and for specific events.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
No, ordinarily there is no dress code.

IS THERE SEATING AT THE VENUES?
Sometimes. Largely the venues are standing only. Please visit the 'venues' section for more information.

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM?
Most of the venues have cloakrooms.
